  Bilingual Experimental Class of

Mathematics, Science and Technology

With the vision of “international learning of high-quality creative arts, sustainable green energy and technology campus,” the school has been developing international education programs in languages, mathematics, science, and technology since the 103rdschool year, vertically integrating them with the Taoyuan Regional Junior High School's language, mathematics, and science talents to cultivate internationally minded talents.

In the past 7 years, this school has designed and implemented many international education and technology programs, from the LEGO robotics program, Arduino mechatronics program and maker program for 10 years, and has won the first place in the Ministry of Education National Life Technology Competition, the 2019 San Diego International Robotics Competition Rookie All-Star Award, the second place in the creative group of the National WRO Olympia Robotics Competition, the first prize in the National Research Cup i-ONE Instrument Technology Innovation Award, and the best quality award and team imagination award in the CSC FRC post-season competition. The achievements are outstanding.

For the past five years, we have organized "Science Breakthrough,” inviting students from neighboring high schools to participate in a collaborative nature science program, which has gained community recognition. International educational exchanges and video programs with Japan, Denmark (Allerod Gymnasium High School), and the United States (in cooperation with Stafford Municipal School District and the Education Section of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Houston) have benefited students greatly.

We have also developed the English presentation course as a school requirement to develop each student's ability to deliver a presentation in English. After the implementation of the new curriculum guidelines, flexible learning time is used to conduct collaborative courses with universities to provide students with the opportunity to explore their aptitudes and future paths. Students also take advantage of independent study time to conduct in-depth research in areas of interest.

In terms of teachers' qualifications and curriculum, our professional community team of teachers is specialized in subjects and teaching, and has been awarded the Gold Quality Award for Teaching Excellence by the Ministry of Education. Our chemistry, arts & skills, and biology teachers are the seed teachers of our subject centers, and they are committed to helping other schools promote science education. In addition, the curriculum has been developed in recent years with excellent results, such as:  The courses "International Issues Inquiry", "Short Essay", "English Presentation", "Design Thinking", "Maker Education", and "Technology Practice" are taught in groups by interdisciplinary faculty, supplemented by university professors, to provide students with systematic interdisciplinary learning. In the future, we hope to add foreign teachers and bilingual teachers to collaborate with teachers on campus to conduct professional development and use immersion, CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) and EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) teaching methods to bring the curriculum into real-life contexts.

The aim of our Mathematics, Science and Technology Bilingual Experimental Class is to recruit students with high interest and ability in science and English related subjects of senior high schools.

Through the design of our experimental classes, we aim to achieve the following objectives.

1. To cultivate English communication skills and enhance international mobility by integrating technology to build an English learning system, theme-based lectures and international exchanges, and immersive teaching situations to create a high-quality bilingual learning environment.

2. To develop students' critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills, to publish their works in English, to enhance international literacy, and to enable them to become humanistic citizens of tomorrow.

3. To train students to develop the ability of integrating operational thinking and design thinking with scientific and technological practice, strengthen their English ability from the demand side, and cooperate with colleges and departments of universities and foreign schools to create the advantage of talent competition.
